This is the finished card, you can use whatever bits and pieces you like, there's a really good selection, and the lamppost is one of the best I've seen around for a while.
I chose to use the umbrella so stamped this next, giving me the position of his arm which I stamped over his body, no need for masking. I coloured the arms, belt, nose, umbrella handle and scarf with ProMarkers before matting the white arch onto the blue. Using a Glaze pen, glaze over the buttons, belt buckle, eyes and mouth. Leave to dry. Onto the small piece of white card I stamped the hat, scarf, umbrella and the waistcoat with Memento, then coloured with ProMarkers and cut out.
Cut base card, blue card and the white card as per instructions on the project club sheet. Add double sided tape to the base card as shown.
Use the white card you have just cut to size. Dust with an Anti-static bag and using the VersaFine black ink and the detail clear embossing powder stamp and emboss the lamppost. Colour with ProMarkers. If you wish, round the top corners with the punch on both the white and blue cards before using the double sided tape or glue to attach together.
Open up the base card and arrange the rainbow swirls, you can arrange these wherever you like. I placed the lamppost card with the arch resting on it and put his hat on his head just to make sure swirls wouldn't get in the way. I then moved the swirls around until I was happy with them. Attach the rainbow swirls to the bottom of the base card and to the side of the lamppost using silicone glue. Only stick down when you’re happy with it. I should have moved the swirls up a bit more because my snowman is laying down too much, looks OK for a photo but really does need moving up. Never mind, next time. J
Attach the lamppost front to the base card. Use foam tape, foam pads or silicone glue on the back of the arch and attach to the front of the card. Dress the snowman using your foam pads or silicone glue. Add the last of the rainbow swirls with silicone glue. Leave to dry while making the sentiment. Cut the blue card and the white card as per instructions in the project club sheet, then Using the VersaFine black ink and the detail clear embossing powder, stamp and emboss the ‘Have a Very Merry Christmas’ along the white card. I find it easier to place the text if the corners have been rounded first. Mount the white card onto the blue using double sided tape or glue and use foam tape or foam pads on the back before attaching to the card base. I like to add a little silicone glue to the foam tape before attaching to the card because of it sitting on top of mirri or foil card. A little extra piece of mind J
