This basket was made (yes there is a basket under all those flowers) using some tan pearlescent card, I did 1.5cm strips of card for the weave, but next time I will be making them thicker. I got the inspiration from a lady called Dawn and ...here is the link to her YouTube video, it's well worth a watch, I really liked the idea as soon as I saw it, so made this card for my mother-in-law Shirley's birthday. I used my Tonic - Scalloped Circles and Circle layering dies to make the easel card. The Spellbinders - Bricks and Bark M-Bossabilities folder for the wood effect on the basket. The yellow background paper is from my stash and has a nice rose and leaf print. The flowers are made using Heartfelt Creations - Daisy Patch dies, Memory Box - Lovely Aster dies and I also used some rose dies from Cheery Lynn Designs. The leaves are from the Spellbinders D-Lites - Sprigs dies and the stopper on the base of the card was made using the Tonic - Gift Tag die - Daisy Pair. The ladybirds are made using the dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs. To finish off I used some yellow ribbon for the bow and added some crystal gems to the middle of the flowers.

This is the main card for this months project club over at Nina Crafts, this set of stamps will come in handy for all sorts of projects and I didn't really do much with the lovely heart topped glasses but I can think of quite a few projects that are mulling around in my head lol.
Project Club Stamps and Card Kit
Stamp and Stash Set
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads - I used 1mm (optional) and 2mm
I have already cut my card to the appropriate sizes, I have added the following pictures to make it a little easier to explain them.
White card, this card has enough space to stamp your hats (bunting)
Lets start with the coloured triangle. Using the star stamp and the black ink randomly stamp all over the triangle. Colour the stars, then trim the edges of the triangle, you will notice I haven't coloured a section of the stars, they will be covered up with the balloon topper later.
Using the white 9cm triangle and the black ink stamp the party corner as in the picture below, I inked up the stamp and added the extra stars to fill in the corners. Once coloured in use your corner punch and round of the 90° corner. Matt onto the coloured triangle rounding the corner before or after attaching.
Using the white 12cm x 6cm piece of card, the black in and the balloon stamp, stamp in the center of the card adding the 'Party time' and the 'Happy Birthday' text down the side of the balloons. Colour the balloons then matt onto the coloured card.
Using the hat stamp and the black ink, stamp three times onto the left over piece of white card, colour then cut out. Trim off the curved edge of the hats as they are a little too long for the bunting, you may like to leave this until just before applying them to the card so you can see how much to trim.
We can now assemble the card.
Using double sided tape attach the star corner to the base card. Using double sided tape attach the party corner to the card, rounding the corner before or after attaching. the following picture shows how I added the double sided tape and the foam pads to the back of the balloon topper. I used a 1mm foam pad in a not very straight line as well as the double sided tape just to support the topper, you don't really need this but I tend to overdo sticking things down lol.
If you haven't already done so trim of the tops of the hats. add some foam pads to the back, I used the 2mm foam pads for these.
The triangles with two foam pads I used on the outer edges and the triangle with the single foam pad on I used for the center.
That's it for this month, hope you enjoy your stamps.

I stamped the mermaid using some VeraFine - Onyx Black and scanned the image at 300dpi to my computer. I did actually print it off at the larger size in black and white with the intention of colouring it in using my ProMarkers, but then I thought I've always wanted to have a go at colouring in using my Photoshop Elements software. So this is my first attempt and I must say I'm quite pleased with it. The frame is from The Range and measures 12" x 10" with an opening of 10" x 8", I thought this would be a descent size to put on the wall in my downstairs cloakroom.
I have put the card I did next to it showing the difference in sizes, I'm now having another look at my older stamps and seeing what else I can use lol, never mind my older stamps some of the newer ones from Nina Crafts look very interesting lol.

Love these balloons, just think of all the really bright colours, subtle shades or even paper piecing, the possibilities are pretty much endless. I stamped straight onto the white card using VersaFine - Onyx Black and heat embossed with detail clear embossing powder then coloured them in using ProMarkers. I cut a strip of red card the same as I used for the matt and on the bottom section I used the Spellbinders - A2 Bracket Borders One dies and on the top section I used Spellbinders - On the Edge dies. I stamped the sentiment using the same black ink and then heat embossed, the sentiment is from the 'Popular Phrases' stamp set ref: NC023. To finish off I used some Glossy Accents on the red balloon only.

This is the card I made from the background I'd made in the last post 'My New Toy' I used one of the new stamps from Nina Crafts, details will be available soon, when the new website is up and running. I used a Spellbinders - Labels Two die for the sentiment, once cut out I sprayed the piece of card while it was still in the die, but it was a little pale so I inked the edges using Distress Ink - Mustard Seed then added a little bit of Spiced Marmalade, I wanted it to stand out more than the background and I still had the speckled texture. I used some plain black card for the matts, just drawing around the label die and cutting out for the sentiment. I used some black organza ribbon for the box and finished off using some black gems from Meiflower in two different sizes.
I like to use my LetraJet Air Brush system but the air canisters where getting on my nerves, I always wanted to use it and keep forgetting to buy another tin. So, this is my latest toy, problem solved lol.
In this picture I'm making a background, I wanted to speckled effect of the red on top. The ProMarker colours I used are: Pinapple Crush, Apricot, Lavender then Heatwave for the top.
I will show you the card when I've done a bit of stamping. Now back to having a play, where's those stencils lol.

A simple little card and quick to make. I used Memento - Tuxedo Black ink and the candle stamp along the bottom of my white card, I like to use a 250gsm smooth card for stamping, then coloured them in with my ProMarkers. I matted onto some green textured card adding some saddle stitch grosgrain ribbon before attached to the card front. I stamped and coloured the cupcake, cut out using Spellbinders - Standard Circles die and used the Spellbinders - Blossom Three die for the matt. I used foam pads on the back of the topper to lift it above the ribbon.

I think this mermaid is lovely, so I had to use her for this card. I stamped her using Memento - Tuxedo Black and coloured in using ProMarkers. I used the Tonic - Rectangle layering dies to cut out and used the tiny scalloped edge from the same set to cut out the blue foil card. The background is a piece of paper from the Papermania - Blueberry Pie Capsule pad and I used Distress Ink - Salty Ocean around the edges. I used the project club stamp set 'Under the Sea' for the shells, the sentiment and for the coral at the bottom of the background, I stamped that with Memento - Summer Sky. I used foam pads to attach the mermaid after I added a bit of coloured glitter and the sentiment was also attached with foam pads after the added ribbon. I have also made this mermaid into a picture for my wall so I will post details about that soon.

I used some textured pink card with a layer of smooth stamping card in white. I used 1½" circle punch and randomly punched the five holes, I got the inspiration for this card from the January project club birthday organizer, I've just been waiting for some stamps to fit and this month's set fit the bill nicely. I stamped the images using Memento - Tuxedo Black and coloured in with ProMarkers and used my black Memento pen for the stitches. To finish I used a Quickie Glue pen and added a little bit of glitter.

For this card I used an off white card it looks almost ivory and goes well with the gold mirri card. I used a Die'sire embossing folder on the square piece of card and then used a Tonic - Oval layering die for the cut out. On the back piece of card I stamped the glasses using VersaMark and some gold embossing powder from My Craft Studio to stamp and heat emboss, adding a little ProMarker accent inside the glasses. The flowers were made using the Memory Box - Lovely Aster dies, I just used the smallest die and both the leaves for each corner. To finish off I used some mother of pearl gems.

I used the party corner stamp on this pillow box, it really does make a good background. I did a Google image search for a free template and found loads so well worth visiting if you need anything, there are lots of really nice people willing to share their work. I printed out the template on the wrong side of my card so all the lines are on the inside and can't be seen. I stamped using Memento - Nautical Blue and coloured in using just the blue shades of my ProMarkers. To finish I added some shiny blue ribbon just around the top and bottom of the box so the ends can still be opened without messing the ribbon up.

Hanni my daughter is a big fan of the Me to You range so this card was easy to put together for her this year. She was 24 this bank holiday weekend and we all celebrated it in Scotland, we've had a really good time and the weather was brilliant, they seem to have their own little micro-climate on the Black Isle. We have all been really spoilt Auntie Rita is a kitchen person and loves cooking so the meals were to die for, she even made Hanni a birthday cake in her favourite colours, her face was a picture when it was brought in. Thank you Rita and Michael for letting us all invade you both in your beautiful cottage by the sea lol.
For the card I used the Me to You - Especially for you DVD from Docrafts for the topper, the sentiment I made up on my computer, the blue textured matting card is from Create and Craft and comes in a verity of colours, the patterned card is from my stash. I used a tonic border punch for the little hearts, the bow is from the Creative Expressions Sue Wilson Stamps and Dies, and to finish off I used some pearls in the corners.
