This month is my nephew's birthday and this is the card I made for this year. He hasn't actually got it yet as he's in the army and isn't on leave yet, so it's still on my mantelpiece at the moment lol. The card is that shiny I couldn't photograph it properly, the base card is actually white. I used some of my Docrafts products, the stamp is from the Papermania Typography collection and the cogs are from the X-Cut range. I used some of the bits and pieces that came out of the middle of the cogs to further decorate the card. I coloured the happy birthday image with ProMarkers and added some Spray and Shine from Crafter's Companion, but it went a bit weird, I don't remember where I got the white card from but the Spray and Shine was fine on the text section of the topper I'd coloured in, but on the white background it just soaked in and left a little texture effect. I quite like it but probably won't be able to do it again haha.

I did exactly the same as the robin wreath to make this reindeer display piece. Here's the link for the Robin. The reindeer stamps from Nina Crafts I used are:

I know I haven't posted for a little while but I haven't been very well, I'm only just starting to get anything like better, after being poorly for the last nearly three months. But onward and upward. I made this and some other display pieces a little while ago, so will be posting them over the next few days. Thank you for your emails and 'yes' I'm getting better.
I used all three robins and all three snowflakes from Nina Crafts for this display piece, they are:
I used the Tonic Layering Circles and the Scalloped Circles for each of the circles. I stamped the snowflakes using VersaMark and heat embossed with detail white embossing powder, adding some Glamour Dust glitter to the finished image. For the robins I stamped with VersaFine - Onyx Black and heat embossed with detail clear embossing powder. I didn't want the feet of the robins to not be visible because of the dark blue card, so I stamped their legs onto some more circles in white card that I'd cut in half, I ripped the top of the half circle to give a raw edge for a snowy effect. I coloured the robins, cut out the upper body and added the glitter. I matted the snowflake circles, embossed the plain circles with a Papermania snowflake embossing folder before matting those. After adding the white legs I glued the circles together the make the wreath, once nearly dry I turned it over and added some smaller circles I'd cut out from left over card, to the over lapping edges, just to add a bit of strength to the wreath. I used the Swirly Christmas Words for the sentiment adding some glitter, matting onto the silver foil card, then gluing into place. I used my we R Memory Keepers Crop-A Dile and a snowflake eyelet, adding a little white ribbon at the top to hang it up. Finally I used some silicone glue to attach the robins upper bodies.

I'm really getting into this stenciling at the moment, oh and die cutting, what about my knitting. I think finishing things off would help sometimes lol. Knitting downstairs in front of the TV and crafting everything else up here in my craftroom. So for this card I used Let it Go snowflake stamp as well as the Swirly Christmas Words from Nina Crafts. I used some Ivory - Centura Pearl card stock for the base card and some hammered cream card for the rest. I stamped the snowflake using VersaMark and heat embossed with some gold WOW powder, then ripped the edges leaving the raw edge facing upwards. I then used a Quickie Glue pen on the raw edge before adding some gold glitter. The tree is from one of the stencils from Imagination Crafts, I used some PVA glue on the stencil and then sprinkled some chunky green glitter on the glue and let it dry. Once dry I ripped the edges and glittered as before. The sentiment was stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed with the gold WOW powder, I coloured the initial letters in with a green ProMarker then ripped and glitter the edges. Once attached to the card I used some 3-D gloss on the initials. The snowflake background was attached using some double sided tape, the tree and the sentiment with foam pads. I added the green and gold ribbon with silicone glue and to finish I used some green gems.

Sorry for the photo of this card it's all over the place, I couldn't get it quite right, I'm not very happy with it. Anyway, I used Spellbinders - Decorative Labels Eight for the lady in the bath, Spellbinders - Feathers and the Heartfelt Creations - Daisy Patch for the flower. The stamps are the September project club set and the complimentary stamp is the face mask, can you tell I'd coloured her face to match the colour on the tube lol.
If you would like to join the Nina Crafts project club visit the website and leave your details, email or phone 07815477292, Faye will be only too happy to help.
