The latest stamps from Nina Crafts is a set for Christmas called Merry Christmas Wreath. For this card I used the tree shaped sentiment and actually cut it out as a tree, using some plain green card, stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed using some detail white embossing powder, colouring in the bow at the top with a red Sakura pen. The background paper is from an earlier project, I had two pieces left so used the other one for the inside of the card. I used The Snowman and The Snowdog dies from Crater's Companion and coloured in using ProMarkers. I used Google to find a picture of them and used my Memento pens to add the details on both of them. I cut a piece of white card and sprayed some glue on it then added the glitter for the bottom of the card. I added a bit of green foil just to frame the background, the tree was attached using some Tacky Glue, the snowman and dog were attached using foam pads/tape and tacky glue to make sure it adhered to the glitter. To finish off I used some Papermania Dew Drops from Docrafts.

Onto some white card I stamped the wreath from the Merry Christmas Wreath stamp set from Nina Crafts using some VersaMark ink and heat embossed with some gold tinsel embossing powder from Stampendous, then coloured it in using Sakura pens. I used the Tonic - Circle Layering Dies to cut out the inside edge and the Scalloped Circle dies to cut the outside edge of the wreath. I used the Spellbinders M-Bossabilities folder - Whimsy for the background and used my score board to add some lines at the right hand side so I could add the ribbon down the middle of the lines. The wreath was attached with foam pads. I used the Britannia Dies for the Poinsettia, I used the large, medium and small dies adding some Yellow Stickles in the centres. I already cut out the two deer's for another project but they were just the right size to add to the middle of the wreath and to add a bit of balance I added the other to the bottom corner, they are Impression Obsession dies, I haven't a clue where I got them from, but I like the detail on them. I finished off using some red gems from Meiflower to the middle of the holly on the wreath, the corners and three down the side.
The colours are a bit rubbish on this card, I'm going to have to take photos earlier in the day, these dark nights are no good, tut.

When I read this stamp from Nina Crafts new set called Merry Christmas Wreath I immediately thought of the house die I have from Poppystamps, it's called Cute Cottage and you can get attachments for it so the winter one I have is called Frosted Roof and Ledges. So starting from the background I used the paper from a pad called Silver and Gold Collection from BoBunny. I cut out the house in texture card and another one in some kraft card for the doors and windows, I actually made two cards using the bits left over from this card. The ledges and roof were cut out of white card and stuck on using PVA glue, I added a bit of yellow card to the back of the house to fill the blank spaces. After I attached the ledges and roof I used some glitter glue to scribble the snow effect, also adding a white strip to the bottom of the card, again adding the glitter glue. I cut out the sentiment shape using kraft card and the Spellbinders - Labels Seventeen dies. I used VersaMark ink to stamp the sentiment and heat embossed using detail white embossing powder. The house and sentiment were attached using some foam tape and to finish off I added a little shiny bow from Meiflower.

It would have been my dad's birthday this past week. My family and I always have a meal to celebrate and another in April because that's when my mum's birthday was. We usually have a theme e.g. Jamaican, Italian, Mexican etc. but this year I suggested Christmas lol. I made some mini Christmas crackers using the Tonic die set which also has three sentiments in, I also used the Icicle Border from Joanna Sheens Signature Dies range. Inside each of the crackers I put a mini Lindt Santa and mini mint candy cane and I also added a cracker snap, one of those tapes that bang when you pull them .
The place settings where made using the die collection on the Tattered Lace magazine Issue 24. I used my Photoshop Elements software to add the hats etc onto all our photos, then used the dies to cut them out. I used the Presents die from All Occasion Dies with some foil card and the snowflakes are from my stash, some that I punched out ages ago and saved the leftovers for another project like this. Because the crackers where small I added the cracker jokes to the inside of the place settings, plenty of room for two jokes and big enough to be able to read them lol. Finishing with a little pearl gem in the middle of each snowflake.
This is the table ready nice and early for us all to mess up. We did have a really good time, we share the cooking, my middle sister made the starter (potato skins), we made the main (Christmas dinner with all the trimmings) and my youngest sister made the dessert (chocolate and raspberry trifle). Needless to say we couldn't move afterwards lol. But a good time was had by all and we did go a bit mad with the photo booth props and got some really daft photos of us all, some good memories were made at this gathering lol.
